Rory MacDonald

Rory MacDonald’s work bridges ceramic process, street-art, and accessibility. Above, he built a small portable kiln that can be taken out to the streets and used to fire ceramic “graffiti” or “tag” on brick walls with glaze. He’s also known for his porcelain work on broken street curbs that discuss multiple histories. He’s become one of my main inspirations as of late….if only he had a website link!!

Rory MacDonald is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at the University of Regina. He holds an MFA from Alfred University in New York (of course…), and a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art. I’m sure you can google more about him and his work if you ceramic nerds are interested.
